Judging Resources
Interested in judging at tournaments? Take a look at some of our judging resources.

What does a day of judging look like?
When you sign up to judge, you will receive an email from Coach McMillan or Coach Bell detailing the day. It will include what time you must arrive at the school ready to judge. You may ride on the bus with the team or drive to the tournament yourself. You will need a SpeechWire account, on which you will receive rounds to judge. Check your email for a link from SpeechWire to activate your account. A day of judging typically ends around the mid-afternoon but it varies per tournament.
What do you need to bring?
To judge, you will need a device (preferably a laptop), a notepad or paper, and a pen/pencil. You will need a SpeechWire account so you can see which rounds you are assigned to judge throughout the day and complete your ballots. The more feedback you can give, the better! Tournaments provide a judges lounge with complimentary coffee, snacks throughout the day, and lunch. However, if you have specific dietary restrictions, it may be wise to bring food you know you can eat.
